Welcome to the official event page for White Tail Resort’s 12th Annual Banana Rum Cup Naked Volleyball Tournament!
The tournament takes place May 14–17, 2026 at White Tail Resort in Ivor, VA (39033 Whitetail Dr, Ivor, VA 23866).

Join us for a long weekend of volleyball, sunshine, and great community fun. The tournament runs from Thursday, May 14, 2026 (arrival and kickoff) -Through- Sunday, May 17, 2026 (final day of play)
Registration Information:
- The cost is $90/person and is paid at the resort office during check-in.
- The registration fee includes: tent camping in the group camping area, access to the pools, hot tubs, and all the common areas at the resort, tournament entry, entry all planned activities throughout the weekend, arrival as early as Thursday and check-out as late as Monday
- Tournament registration will be onsite for each day of the event. Signing up for the event on this site does not obligate you to play in the tournament. You will still need to sign in at the registration table on the day of the tournament.
- Your registration here costs nothing and will get you on the email and text message distribution list for information and tournament updates leading up to the event. Please share this page with anyone that might be interested in playing in the tournament this year.
- Pool play schedules and brackets will be filled out and posted on site the day of the tournament.
Accommodations:
- RV sites are available on a first come, first served basis. To reserve, please contact the resort office directly: (757) 859-6123
- The resort also has rooms and cabins for rent. Call the office to check availability and to make a reservation. In the event they are sold out, they maintain a waiting list and there are cancellations.
- Payment Information
- All tournament and camping fees are paid at the resort office upon check-in.
Rules:
We will be following FIVB rules with a few local modifications. Overhand (finger pad) serve or first ball receive will be allowed and the pass will not be judged as a set. For BB, overhand set “doubles” will be allowed. Doubled sets will be called by the referee for level A and above. All net touches are a fault and will be called. Tournament Schedule and Format:
Thursday (5/14): Pickup Play from Noon until everyone leaves the courts
- After settling into your campsite, head over to the volleyball courts for open court pickup games.
- Form teams with friends or jump in with others.
- Teams will play up to 2 games max an a court (win or lose), then rotate off
- Whiteboards will be available at each court for team sign-ups so everyone knows who is "next"
- We want the larger groups playing on the sand courts so the minimum format will be 4v4.
- The grass courts will be available for pickup play as well and can be used for any format: 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, etc.
Friday (5/15): Genderblind 3’s Tournament All levels (AA/A/BB/B)
Signups begin at 8:30 AM and close at 9:15 AM. Play starts at 9:30 AM.
- A round of pool play followed by a double elimination tournament
- There are no gender requirements for teams
- Signup for the level that best fits your team’s ability - no sandbagging
- The tournament manager has the option to move a team up or down a division once the bracket portion begins.
- 3’s will be played on the short court (26.25’ x 52.5’)
Saturday (5/16): Genderblind 4’s Tournament (A/BB/B) — Day 1: Pool Play
- Signups begin at 8:30 AM and close at 9:15 AM. Play starts at 9:30 AM.
- Saturday is pool play for all divisions
- Sign up for the division that best fits your team’s ability - no sandbagging
- The tournament manager has the option to move a team up or down a division once the bracket portion begins.
- 4’s will be played on the big court (30’x60’)
Sunday (5/17): Genderblind 4’s Tournament (A/BB/B) — Day 2: Finals
- Double elimination tournament for all divisions.
- Play begins at 9:30 AM
Saturday and Sunday (AA/OPEN)
- We are listing AA/OPEN as mens and womens divisions. The final format will be determined once we know who shows up and what everyone wants to play.
