Blevins 2024 - Coed 4’s Beach Volleyball Tournament - AA Division

DATE: Saturday, September 21st.

LOCATION: On the beach in front of the Wyndham Hotel VB Oceanfront (5700 Atlantic Ave, Virginia Beach, VA 23451)

COST: The cost for the tournament is $60/person. Team captains have the option to pay for the entire team at registration. When sharing the cost among players, captains should take advantage of the “player invite” feature to create a link back to the team for the remaining players to register.

Free agents can register for free. This does not guarantee a roster spot or a place in the tournament. Free agents will have to seek out teams that need players and request to join their teams. At that point, an invoice will be sent for payment.

The entry fee includes an event t-shirt so please specify your size when registering for the tournament. **NOTE: T-shirts are only guaranteed if you sign up by September 1st!**

Check-in will be on the beach beginning at 7:30 AM. Only one person per team needs to check in and pick up the shirts.

We will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets at the check-in tent along with tournament swag. Proceeds will go to local cancer related organizations that are focused on helping families dealing with cancer.

Luminaria kits will be on sale prior to tournament day and will be lit and placed on the main court once the tournament is finished.

Prizes will be awarded for the top two teams.

Rules of play:

Coed 4's rules will apply: 2 females on court at all times and a female is required to touch the ball unless it's sent over on one. The net height will be set at 8’. The court dimensions are 52'-6" x 26'-3".

Blocks DO NOT count as a touch.

Double contact on first touch is ok but if finger action is used the play will be judged the same as a set.

Jump serves are allowed.

Overhand attack sets are allowed but shoulders must be square to the target and the “set” must be clean.
